Nixon and that whole group of ultra-right wing faction hated us pot smokers so much that if he could have his way we would all have been lined up against a wall and shot. Not being able to do that he and those in his circle were able to ruin the lives of some of the pot heads forever. Much was done off the books. The hidden war that was carried on in private circles is still felt by some, especially by those who were close enough to them to suffer the consequences of that hypocritical attitude.
