Do you believe Christians approve of war and careless about the environment because it is Gods will?

I was speaking to my aunt about recycling and conserving the Earths resources and she asked why. I told her because the environment is suffering and we need to do our part as Earth Citizens. She said "Honey, God has a plan and there is nothing you can do to stop it". I love the old lady but she is nuts!
