What would you do or say in this situation?

Me and my ex ended our relationship on good terms. We went out for 2 years but I broke up because both of us became very busy with athletics and school. Today, my ex sent me a text saying "We should hang out soon.." I want to hang out with him but at the same time I don't want to sound desperate. What should I send back?
