Why will the high school kids be locked in their homerooms during the inauguration?

I have 2 children attending high school just outside of Atlanta. The plan tomorrow is for them to have a sack lunch at 10 am and then report to their homerooms to be LOCKED IN until after the inauguration. I would like to know what everyone else thinks of this.
