My samsung eternity keeps freezing up and/or randomly shutting down, why!?

Sounds like a shortage, I had three Samsung Omnias (SCH i910) that would just turn off. Tech support suggested that I hold the reset on down about thirty seconds. That may work for you, however, I would request a new phone if that one is still under warranty.
