I cant decide weather or not to ship out for navy dep?

I signed up for the navy dep program about five months ago and I'm scheduled to depart in November. All of the time ive had to think about it has made me have second thoughts, I really want to stay in my home town now and go to college, have a normal life. I know boring. Anyways i have read that you can get out of dep programs im just afraid that it will conflict my future life in any way. At all. I mean if it will go on my record in any way and if there is any chance of that at all. any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
