Lower abdomen - PAIN?

Due to fibroid (early stage) and irregular menstrual periods patient is experiencing pain in lower abdomen, Doctor is suggesting to take pain killers for temporary relief.Patient already consuming NOVELON Tabs(Desogestrel & Ethinyl Estradiol) to regularize periods.Any alternative/ NOVEL options/ natural (inclusive of dietary options) medications to contain and control pain for this problem.
